Munk School Distinguished Fellow Paul Cadario recently spoke on a panel at CyFy2021, organized and chaired by India’s Observer Researcher Foundation (ORF). This year’s forum addressed “The Big Pause,” challenging the ownership of tech futures as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Cadario’s panel focused on the current inequality in technology trade flows, asking if has this has always been the case or if today’s shift towards regionalization/localization has created differences.

Cadario also published a research paper as part of the conference, which examines our current technological ecosystem — including hardware, software, apps, platforms, laws, and regulations—and explores how to ensure it is fair, sustainable, and inclusive (and keep it that way).
