Asian Institute to receive Curriculum Renewal Initiatives Fund

Beijing-trained film scholar, Zhu XiaoYi, guest-curated exhibition by Du Haibin, a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy in 2000. He has already made a number of important documentary films, two of which, “Beautiful Men” and “Umbrella”, can be viewed.

Asian Institute to debut CinemAsia in partnership with Reel Asian

This is the 12th edition of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Nov 12-16). CinemaAsia debuts as a preamble to the festival with a Sabu retrospective and academic/industry panels. CinemAsia opens with gala on Nov 11 at Innis Town Hall.

Asian Institute invites Hong Kong film director Kenneth Bi (“The Drummer”)

Arts and Science funds Asian Institute’s new international course module
