The Faculty of Arts & Science has selected Asian Institute Manager and Project Officer Eileen Lam as the recipient of the 2011 Dean’s Student Life Award. Congratulations, Eileen!

The award is given annually to an administrative staff member who has improved the quality of the student experience in the Faculty of Arts & Science. This award recognizes innovations and demonstrated improvements to the services provided to students.

Eileen was nominated by students in the Dr. David Chu Program in Asia-Pacific Studies who found her encouragement and support invaluable in rebuilding the Asia-Pacific Club and organizing the upcoming ASI400 FAS-funded ICM field school to Chengdu, China.

Eileen has been dedicated to enriching the student experience for years, and we are thrilled to see her efforts and service recognized by the faculty. As one supporter commented, “Without Eileen’s management, many events and collaborations that are most valuable to students would never have come to fruition.”
