Netina Tan, SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at the Asian Institute, has won the prestigious 2011 CPSA Vincent Lemieux Prize for “the best PhD thesis submitted at a Canadian institution, in 2009 or 2010, in English or in French, in any sub-field of political science.”

Netina completed her PhD at UBC last year, where her doctoral supervisor was Max Cameron. The title of her dissertation isAccess to Power: Hegemonic Party Rule in Singapore and Taiwan.
