“The story revolves around Hainan Island, China’s southern most province, which is currently experiencing a golf course construction boom; the only concern is that the government in Beijing recently passed a law making golf course construction illegal. It’s bad form to have a Communist Government, “The People’s Government”, kicking peasant farmers off their land for golf course development; a game that statistically 0% of the population play. Exciting times ahead.

“The story was crafted by the very talented Dan Washburn who, among many other interests, has spent the last few years producing fantastic stories about China’s golf boom. For a full spread of the magazine story please visit ParForChina.com, the website for Dan’s upcoming book about Golf in China.
